After years of complaints from neighbors about forklifts being driven on Alvah's Lane, violation summons are issued at Satur Farms over the weekend.

issued summons to forklift drivers at over this past weekend for illegally driving on the roadway at Alvah's Lane, Southold Town Police Chief Martin Flatley confirmed on Thursday.

The tickets were issued after years of and an ensuing feud between them and Satur Farms owners Paulette Satur and Eberhard Müller — a feud that has recently been taken to court.

The violations addressed continued illegal use of unlicensed vehicles on a public road. Several tickets were issued along with a prohibition of future use, Chief Flatley said.

"There have been other summons issued there over the past couple of months," the Chief said. "We get complaints all the time about it, and this weekend an officer witnessed what was going on and wrote the tickets."

A suit filed last month by neighbors John and Joan Lademann and Pat and James McNamara regarding what they claim are problems of dust, diesel pollution and noise coming from Satur Farms continues to proceed in State Supreme Court in Riverhead. The suit was filed after Muller and Satur filed court papers claiming that their neighbors have been harassing them and want to drive them out of business.
