On the Agenda: Southold Town Board

Board to discuss street lighting, solar at landfill and geese tagging.

Themeets at 9 a.m. for work session and at 4:30 p.m. for a regular meeting on Tuesday. Items on the agenda include:

• A vote to approve up to $140,000 in capital funds for labor and materials to improve the highway department and police department buildings.

• Granting permission to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Fish and Wildlife division to beginning yearly banding of resident Canada geese through mid-July at in Mattituck and Arshamomaque Pond in Southold.

• Green Tech Energy Services will give the board an update on street lighting and reps form will continue their pitch about installing solar units at the landfill in Cutchogue.

• Town planners continue to chip away at the town’s agricultural chapter of the ongoing comprehensive plan.
