You've washed your hands — and probably your glittered hair — of all things Halloween this past weekend. Now it's election time. Here's what you need to know today:

1. Look for the last installment of Voter's Guide 2010 later today and find out where to vote and, more importantly, where to party after is all is said and done on Election Day Tuesday.

2. Revisit our detailed election coverage here: http://northfork.patch.com/elections. And, as always, let us know what you think.

3. It's opening day for scallop season, and baymen of the Peconic are gearing up to harvest some kind of delectable shellfish, which thankfully have been replenished over recent years due to restocking efforts. Stay tuned for the story.

4. We'd love to hear your ideas for the Plum Island of the future. How should the land be used once the animal disease research center shuts down? E-mail ideas to erins@patch.com.

5. The windows of the former Mattituck Village Market are now painted over in white as Mike Avella and the staff of the Love Lane Kitchen prepare to open Love Lane Market, a specialty food store. What sorts of items do you want to see stocked on the shelves here? Email erins@patch.com.
