Veteran Mattituck Park District Commissioner is Back on the Board

Gerard Goehringer was found to have defeated Frank Polistena 202 to 105 after polls closed Thursday night for a seat on the Mattituck Park District's board of commissioners. Goehringer, who will replace Doris McGreevy,  previously served as commissioner for 30 years before deciding to step down in 2007.

Steve Brautigam, who lost the race on Tuesday for a seat on the Southold Town Board of Trustees, won the race for Mattituck Park District treasurer with 112 votes, defeating Shelley Maddaloni and Erica Wells. He will replace longtime park district treasurer John Cushman.
