"I'm hoping the weather will stay fantastic," said Klahre, who also works for the Southold Town Land Preservation Department. "Bring your trowel or dibble stick!"

The parcel is jointly purchased by the county and town in 2008 for passive recreational use.  This project will help stabilize the property’s primary dune and is part of an overall effort to officially open up the park for public access, according to Klahre.
