5 Things: Town Board, Spring Concerts, Hoop Dance

The Board meets this Tuesday and spring concerts are happening across North Fork schools this week.

1. Agenda items for the Southold Town Board this week include: Costs of police and highway department repairs; installing another ; a town-wide beach clean-up; executive session discussions on legal actions against The board meets for work session June 5 at 9 a.m. and holds its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m., after which will be a public hearing on amendments to wetlands and shoreline legislation. 2. Get ready for some spring school concerts: on June 5 at 7 p.m.; on June 5 at 7:30 p.m.; Greenport Elementary on June 6 at 7 p.m.; Southold High School Small Ensembles on June 7 at 7:30 p.m.

3. Hoop it up at in Greenport on June 5 at 6 p.m. to strengthen your core with this hoop dance workout.

4. Make your own natural perfume at the on June 7 at 4:30 p.m. The program is open for grades 7 – 12 and is free.

5. is hosting a special concert benefiting one of the North Fork's most beloved and talented local musicians, Ray Penney, on June 8 at 6 p.m. Performers include Gene Casey, Jon Divello, the Secondhands, Southold Slim, Rob Europe, and Donna Butler- with Rocky DiVello as MC.
