2 Hospitalized After Van Hits Beer Truck

Two men were hospitalized Friday morning after a tire blowout reportedly caused an accident; no charges were filed.

Two men were sent to the hospital Friday morning after a tire blew out on a work van, causing the driver to lose control and hit a Budweiser delivery truck.

According to police, a Southold man was driving eastbound on Route 25 in Southold, near Hobart Avenue, when his tire blew out. He abruptly veered off the road, police said, hitting the Bud truck parked on the side of the road.

A Manorville man was sitting in the delivery truck's cab when it was struck, and both men were transported to Eastern Long Island Hospital for evaluation.

Nobody was charged in the incident, police said.
