A two-vehicle car accident at the intersection of Moores Lane and Route 48 sent one driver to the hospital and traffic heading east or west on Route 48 south onto Moores Lanes.
According to Chief Kenny White, the accident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on Friday. Only the drivers of the vehicles — one a mini van and the other a compact SUV — were involved in the accident, and one driver was taken to by Members of the Greenport Fire Deparment Rescue Squad.
No other details were immediately available.
