Police: Two Charged With DWI

Southold Town Police charge two men with driving while intoxicated, one after a car accident.

The following information was supplied by the Southold Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Gerald Leskody, 50, of Cutchogue, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated on June 7 at 1:27 p.m. after police stopped him for a traffic violation on Mill Lane in Mattituck. He was found to be intoxicated and a computer check revealed that his driver’s license was suspended pending prosecution for a prior DWI, police said. Leskody was arrested and transported to Southold Police headquarters in Peconic where he was processed and held overnight for arraignment.

Jason Slutsky, 30, of Seaford was charged with DWI on June 7 at 5:18 p.m. after he was involved in a car accident at the intersection of Route 25 and Indian Neck Lane in Peconic, police said.
