Police to Perform Dives for Security of Tall Ships
Southold Town Police Dive Team will make sure all is safe underwater at Mitchell Marina.
In preparation for the Memorial Day weekend Tall Ship Challenge, the Dive Team will be conducting dive operations along the Greenport waterfront beginning on Wednesday to provide harbor security for the Assisting in the operation will be divers from Riverhead Police, Suffolk County Marine Bureau and Suffolk County Emergency Services Unit. Divers will be examining the dock area for underwater hazards tha could be a threat to the tall ships.
