Police: Southold Man Charged With Grand Larceny

Southold Town Police arrest a Southold man for stealing sections of aluminum irrigation pipe from a farm and selling them as scrap metal.

Dylan Whittington, 28, of Southold was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny on Sunday after a police investigation revealed that he stole numerous sections of aluminum irrigation pipe and a custom aluminum ladder from a Southold farm, cut up the metal and sold the pieces to a scrap metal dealer, police said. He was arrested on Sunday at 1:11 p.m., processed and released on bail to appear at Southold Justice Court at a later date.
