Police: Southold Man Arrested for Multiple Drug-Related Charges

Southold Town and County Police release information about Monday morning drug raid on Hortons Lane.

After a drug raid of a Hortons Lane home on Monday at 7:30 a.m., Eliseos Verveniotis, 36, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, police reported on Thursday.

Members of the, Suffolk County District Attorney's Office East End Drug Task Force and the Suffolk County Police Department executed a search warrant at the Hortons Lane residence, culminating a lengthy narcotics investigation.

Police said they found prescription medications, a bludgeon and a loaded gun, and forged New York State documents at the scene. Verveniotis was arraigned on Tuesday.
