William Zbikowski, 49, of Shirley was charged with driving while intoxicated on Tuesday at 11:33 a.m. after police stopped him for a traffic violation at the intersection of Route 48 and Hortons Lane in Southold while he drove a 2001 Dodge van east on Route 48, police said. He was found to be intoxicated and was transported to police headquarters where he was held overnight for arraignment.
