Police: Riverhead Man Arrested for Suspended License, Warrant Arrest

Southold Town Police charge Riverhead man with an active warrant against him for driving in Greenport on a suspended license and registration.

The following information was supplied by Southold Town Police department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Sean Nethercott, 31, of Riverhead, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of vehicle, a misdemeanor, for driving with a suspended license and a suspended registration on his vehicle on Feb. 1 at 11:05 a.m., after Southold Town Police stopped him for a traffic violation on the corner of First and South Streets in Greenport, police said. Further investigation revealed that Nethercott had an active arrest warrant against him from Riverhead Town Police department. Nethercott was arrested, transported to Southold Town Police headquarters in Peconic, was processed and turned over to Riverhead Police Department for the warrant.
