Police Report: Shoplifting and DWI

Southold Town Police report incidents of driving while intoxicated and shoplifting this week.

Michael Jimenez, 50, of Cutchogue was charged with driving while intoxicated and other traffic violations on Friday at 10:52 p.m., after police received an anonymous complaint of a possible drunk driver operating a green Ford Explorer north on Depot Lane in Cutchogue. The responding officer observed Jimenez driving the vehicle and found him to be intoxicated after stopping him.

A 34-year-old manager of the reported that Lidia Argon-Hernandez, 25, of Greenport was shoplifting groceries from the store on Nov. 9 at 4:08 p.m. Argon-Hernandez was charged with petit larceny, transported to police headquarters and released on $250 bail, police reported.

Dirk Blank, 47, of Southold was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Friday at 3 p.m., after police observed him driving a 1998 Subaru in Henry's Lane in Peconic. Police said that Blank was known to have a revoked driver's license.

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were charged with the above offenses. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
