Police Report: Petit Larceny and a Three-Car Collision

Southold Town Police report one incident of petit larceny and a three-car accident in East Marion resulting in injuries.

Victor Martinez, 22, of Greenport was charged with petit larceny and resisting arrest on Dec. 1 at 11:21 p.m., after police responded to a report of Martinez stealing a six-pack of beer and a two-liter bottle of soda fromconvenience store in the village. Police said Martinez forcefully resisted being handcuffed by the officer at the scene.

Jose Lopez, 31, of Greenport was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Saturday at 2:41 p.m., after police stopped him for operating a 1997 Dodge with a revoked driver's license on Route 48 in Peconic.

Three Long Island residents were hospitalized on Sunday at 12:29 p.m. after being involved in a three-car accident on Route 25 in East Marion. Police said Lauren Alevas, 22, of Patchogue was driving east on Route 25, when she lost control of her 1999 Subaru, crossed over into westbound traffic and struck two other vehicles — a 2007 Jeep driven by Edward Hennessy, 53, of East Quogue, and a 2005 Ford driven by Barbara Domiani, 56, of Bethpage. Alevas was transported by helicopter to Stony Brook University Medical Center for treatment to back injuries. Members of the andtransported Hennessy and Domiani to for evaluation.

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were charged with the above offenses. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
