Police Report: Drug Possession, DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation

Southold Town Police report one incident of possession of illegal pills, one of driving while intoxicated and another of driving without a license.

Colin Volinski, 21, of Southold was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance on Sunday at 11:03 p.m. at the intersection of Route 25 and Cat Alley in Southold. After conducting a traffic stop, observed Volinski, a rear passenger of the vehicle, trying to hide and unknown object under the seat, police said. Investigation revealed that Volinski was in possession of an unlabeled prescription bottle of pill that was later determined to be filled with controlled substances, police said.

Donald Johnson, 35, of Orient was charged with driving while intoxicated and unlicensed operation of a vehicle on Saturday at 2:46 a.m. after police stopped him for vehicle and traffic violations as he drove along Route 25 in Orient., police said.

Mario Uyu, 26, of Jamesport was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Sunday at 8:49 p.m. after police stopped him for speeding on Route 25 in Laurel. The officer on the scene found that his driver's license was suspended due to a prior charge of driving while intoxicated, police said.

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were charged with the above offenses. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
