Police: Peconic Man Injures Officer at Gas Station Fight

Southold Town Police charge Thomas Glasser with resisting arrest.

The following information was supplied by the Southold Town Police department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Thomas Glasser, 48, of Peconic, resisted arrest and injured a Southold Town Police officer while doing so during a fight at the Valero gas station in Cutchogue on Sept. 30 at 3 a.m., police said. Glasser was reported to be highly intoxicated and was causing a disturbance before police arrived. When he was asked to leave he refused and fought with arresting officers, police said. Officer Richard Buonaiuto was injured during the arrest and was treated at Eastern Long Island Hospital.
