Police: Mattituck Man Charged With Stealing Beockman Construction Van

The following information was supplied by the Southold Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate guilt.

Thomas R. Shearin, 33, of Mattituck, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on Dec. 18 at 6:48 p.m., after police responded to a report that a 2007 Ford Econoline work van was reported stolen from Beockman Construction on Old Sound Avenue in Mattituck, police said. Investigation revealed that Shearin took the vehicle. He was arrested, processed and released on $100 bail, police said.
