Police: Greenport Man Smashes Window, Resists Arrest

Southold Town Police charge a Greenport man with criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

The following information was supplied by the Southold Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Eric Heiman, 44, of Greenport, was charged with criminal mischief and resisting arrest on Sunday at 10:15 p.m., after a 50-year-old Greenport man reported to police that Heiman had smashed out the rear window of his car, police said. Police located Heiman at his residence, found him to be highly intoxicated, and he resisted lawful arrest, police said.  Heiman was transported to headquarters, was processed and lodged pending arraignment.
