Police: Flanders Man Charged With Weapon and Marijuana Possession
Southold Town Police arrest Flanders teen for possession of a weapon and marijuana in Peconic.
The following information was supplied by the Southold Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
Wilber Soyos-Estrada, 18, of Flanders was charged with fourth-degree possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and for driving without a license on Thursday at 7:40 a.m. on Route 48 in Peconic. Police stopped the teen for a traffic violation as he drove a 1996 Toyota pickup on the highway and was found to operating without a license with a pair of Chuka Sticks (two or more pieces of a hard material joined together by a rope or chain) under the driver's seat, police said. Police also reported finding a marijuana cigarette in Soyos-Estrada's pocket.
