Police: DWI Incidents in Southold, Mattituck

Southold Town Police charge two with drunk driving early this week.

The following information was supplied by the A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

• Angel Hernandez-Garcia, 23, of Greenport, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Sept. 10 at 12:59 a.m., after police stopped him for tailgating and failing to maintain his lane of travel at the intersection of Route 25 and Bay Home Road in Southold, police said. Hernandez-Garcia was found to be intoxicated, arrested and transported to police headquarters in Peconic to be processed and lodged to await arraignment.

• Eileen Polla, 50, of Wantagh, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Sept. 9 at 8:56 p.m., after police stopped her for speeding on Sound Avenue in Mattituck and found her to be intoxicated, police said. She was arrested, transported to police headquarters in Peconic where she was lodged until her arraignment in the morning.
