Police: Drunk Man With Bike Charged With Endangering Child’s Welfare

Southold Town Police charge an East Marion man with endangering the welfare of a child.

Adam Laskowski, 53, of East Marion, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child on June 19 at 12:44 p.m., after police noticed Laskowski walking a bicycle with a child in a child seat without a helmet on Main Street in Greenport, police said. An officer stopped Laskowski to interview him, smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage, and found Laskowski to be intoxicated, police said. Laskowski was arrested, transported to police headquarters in Peconic where he was processed and held for arraignment.
