Police: Drug Possession and DWI

Southold Town Police report an incident of drug possession and another of driving while intoxicated.

Moises Garcia, 31 of Shelter Island was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance on Friday at 7:22 p.m. after an officer saw him acting in a suspicious manner near a closed business on Eugenes Road in Cutchogue, police said. Garcia was found to be in possession of the drug suboxone without a prescription for it, police said.

Jeffrey Bubb, 58 of Greenport was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated on Saturday at 8:11 p.m. on Moores Lane near Route 48 in Greenport. Bubb was driving a 2010 Cadillac sedan east on Route 48 when police stopped him for crossing over the center yellow lines into the westbound lane of travel, police said.

A 36-year-old Cutchogue woman reported to police on April 25 that some one stole two diamond rings worth $30,000 from her residence on Alvah's Lane sometime between April 22 at 9 a.m. and April 25 at 9:30 a.m. There were no signs of forced entry to the home and the incident is still under investigation.

An employee ofreported to police on April 26 at 1 p.m. that someone stole a new MacBook laptop computer worth $925.94 from the library sometime between April 11 at 3 p.m. and April 26 at 1 p.m. The incident remains under investigation.
