Police: Cops Break Up Fight in Post Office Parking Lot

Greenport teens arrested after fight.

The following information was supplied by the Southold Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Justin Maltese-Pollock, 19,  William Mokus, 19, Ryan Greenberg, 18, and Gregory Vankesteren, 18, all of Greenport were charged with disorderly conduct on June 21 at 8:08 p.m. after involvement in a fight in the parking lot, police reported.

While on patrol, an officer observed a group of youths in the parking lot of the Greenport Post Office fighting. Upon exiting the patrol vehicle, the group dispersed in different directions, police said. One youth pointed towards two subjects who were walking away from the scene who were involved which the officer went after and brought them back to the incident location. While officers were at the scene investigating the incident, Mokus returned with a piece of wood looking to fight the subjects who attacked him, police said. All above subjects were determined to be the ones involved, they were arrested, transported to HQ, processed and released on appearance tickets.
