Police: Connecticut Man Charged With Boating While Intoxicated

Brian Dermody, 54, of Stafford Springs, Conn., was charged with boating while intoxicated on Sunday at 7:23 p.m. in Orient Harbor. Dermody had called bay constables to report that a 45-year-old passenger had fallen out of his boat, and by the time authorities arrived, the passenger had made it onboard, police said. After interviewing Dermody, constables determined that he was intoxicated and was placed under arrest, police said.
