Police Bust East Marion Residents on Cocaine, Marijuana Charges

Southold Town Police and members of the East End Drug Task Force charge two with cocaine, marijuana possession in East Marion on Feb. 17.

The following information was supplied by the Southold Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

• Jeffrey Jackson, 49, and Julie Jackson, 47, both of East Marion, were each arrested and charged with one felony count of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of marijuana on Feb. 17 at 6:30 a.m.

After authorities learned through investigation that cocaine and marijuana were being sold from a residence at 8100 Route 25 in East Marion, members of the Southold Town Police Department, the Suffolk County Police Emergency Department Service Unit and the Suffolk County Sheriff's Canine Unit assisted in the early morning search last week, police said. A quantity of cocaine and marijuana were recovered during the search, and the suspects were taken into custody, police said.
