Police: Burglary Suspect Resists Arrest in Southold

Jason Capazzola, 36, of Mattituck was charged with burglary, resisting arrest and harassment on Monday at 1:51 p.m., after a Southold Town Police officer chased him down as he was fleeing the scene of an alleged burglary at a Route 25 Southold residence, police said.

Police were called to the scene after Capazzola was discovered within the residence. Capazzola attempted to flee after the first officer arrived. A struggle ensued after the officer caught up with the suspect, who stole money from the residence, an investigation revealed.
