A Middle Island 14-year-old died Sunday in a Jet Ski accident in Peconic Bay, Southold Police said.

Dominick Trionfo was piloting the Jet Ski in the waters outside of Mattituck when around 1:55 p.m. he struck the line of a boat anchored in the bay. He was rushed ashore, treated by Mattituck Fire Department Rescue workers and transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.
