Mattituck Woman Charged With DWI

Police arrest Erin Schultz after pulling her over on a traffic stop.

The following information was supplied by the Southold Town Police department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Southold police arrested Erin Schultz and charged her with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, on Friday after pulling her over for an unspecified traffic incident, police said.

According to a police statement, Schultz, 35, was stopped on County Road 48 in Mattituck and was "determined to be intoxicated" at around 12:30 a.m.

She was transported to police headquarters and held until her arraignment in the morning.

Full disclosure: Schultz is editor of North Fork Patch.
