Mattituck Man Charged With DWI in Southold

Southold Town Police charge a Mattituck man with driving while intoxicated during the early morning hours of Tuesday in Southold.

The following information was supplied by the Southold Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Craig Jones, 40, of Mattituck, was charged with driving while intoxicated on Tuesday at 2:38 a.m., after police stopped him for failing to maintain his lane and for having an expired registration at the intersection of Route 48 and Boisseau Avenue in Southold, police said. Jones was found to be intoxicated, was arrested and transported to police headquarters in Peconic where he was processed and held to await arraignment, police said.
