Mattituck High School Drug Investigation Results in Arrests

Three teens charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

The following information was supplied by the Southold Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Police were called to Mattituck High School on April 20 after school authorities received a report of several teens being in possession of marijuana, police said. After investigation, three students — one 16 years of age and the other two 17 years of age — were turned over to police custody and arrested on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.  They were transported to Southold Town Police headquarters in Peconic where they were processed and released on an appearance ticket for a later court date.
