Crimes Nearby: Drunk Hampton Bays Man Threatens Man With Chainsaw

The following information was supplied by various town police departments. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

MILLER PLACE ROCKY POINT

• Tyler Danielsen, 17, of Rocky Point, was arrested May 18 in Rocky Point and charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon, a felony. Police said he injured another person by hitting them in the face with a piece of wood.

• Frank Fernandez, 17, of Sound Beach, was arrested May 17 in Sound Beach and charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon, a felony. Police said he injured another person by hitting them in the face with a piece of wood.

• Jake Hansen, 17, of Sound Beach, was arrested May 14 in Sound Beach and charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon, a felony. Police said he injured another person by hitting them in the face with a piece of wood.

• Kurt Knoernschild, 54, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was arrested May 17 in Mt. Sinai and charged with DWI with two previous convictions in 10 years. He was arrested on CR 83 and Mount Sinai Coram Road in Mt. Sinai. Police said he failed to stop at a steady red turn arrow and was seen failing to maintain his lane.

RIVERHEAD

• Candice A. Hughes, 21, of Riverhead, was arrested on May 16 at 10:44 p.m. on West Main Street in Riverhead and charged with criminal possession of marijuana. Police said after approaching the vehicle, the smell of burnt marijuana emanated from the car; a small amount of marijuana was allegedly seen beneath the seat and the door jam. When an officer went to look for identification in Ms. Hughes' purse, a small amount of marijuana was also allegedly found and, upon further investigation, police said a small amount was also found in the center console.

• Jose L. Andino Rodriguez, 22, of Riverhead, was arrested on Nadel Drive on May 16 at approximately 5:04 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense. When police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident, they arrested Andino Rodriguez and charged him with DWI. He was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center to be medically cleared, then was transported to police headquarters and held for arraignment. Police say assorted beer cans were submitted as evidence.

WESTHAMPTON-HAMPTON BAYS

• Andrew Kristiansen, 45, of Hampton Bays, was arrested May 20 at 3:19 a.m. after threatening another man with a chainsaw, according to police. Cops reported that Kristiansen, in an intoxicated condition, wielded the chainsaw in a threatening manner at a victim while at the. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class-D felony.

• Jean Foronda, 19, of Coram, was arrested in the hamlet of East Quogue on May 19 on Lewis Road at 9:57 p.m. after she was observed operating a stolen vehicle, police said. She was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, a class-E felony. Foronda was additionally charged with aggravated unlicensed operation vehicle in the second degree, a misdemeanor.

• Joann Dammeyer, 40, of Mastic Beach, was charged May 18 with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a class-C felony, after police received a report of an erratic driver heading northbound on County Road 51 towards the county center in Riverhead. Upon investigation, Dammeyer admitted to being under the influence of the painkiller oxycodone, Soma, a muscle relaxant, and Xanax, a tranquilizer defined as a schedule IV substance by the Drug Enforcement Agency. Since Dammeyer admitted to be under the influence of these medications while driving, she was charged additionally with driving while impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, police said.

SOUTHAMPTON

• Andress Gallon-Isaza, 26, of Woodside, was arrested May 13 at 4:10 a.m. and charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and aggravated DWI, all misdemeanors. Southampton Town police said they stopped Gallon-Isaza when he drove a 2004 Honda Accord the wrong way down a one-way street — Cameron Street.  Police that that they found he had cocaine and a knife.  He was processed and held for morning arraignment.

• Luis Silvestre-Martinez, 27, of New York City, was arrested May 19 at 1:32 a.m. on Ferry Road in Sag Harbor, after being pulled over for failing to maintain his lane and signal while making a left turn, Sag Harbor police said. According to the arrest report, Silvestre-Martinez's was visibly intoxicated after being pulled over and he performed poorly on standard field sobriety's tests. A DMV check of his license revealed it has been suspended five times, police said. Silvestre-Martinez was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of motor vehicle in the first degree, a felony, DWI, a misdemeanor, and multiple traffic infractions. The 1997 Honda he was driving was impounded.

EAST HAMPTON

• A Springs man was charged with second-degree rape after information was found on Facebook, according to . Enrique D. Monge-Pucha, 22, of Springs, was indicted in Suffolk County Criminal Court on May 18 on charges that he had sexual intercourse with a girl who is under the age of 15. In New York, the age of consent is 17. He is being held on $150,000 bond or $75,000 cash bail at the Suffolk County jail in Riverside.
