Cops: Woman Drove Drunk, Left Accident Scene -- And Got Car Stuck On the Beach

The woman was also charged with marijuana possession, police said.

A Douglaston, New York woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after she left the scene of an accident and got her car stuck on the Southold Town beach, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Glorene Siarres, 63, was involved in an accident on Adams Street in Greenport on Friday at approximately 3:50 p.m., after which she fled the scene. 

She was later located in her vehicle, which was stuck on the Southold Town beach, and police said she was intoxicated and in possession of a quantity of marijuana. 

Siarres was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, leaving the scene of an accident, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. 

Siarres was transported to Southold Tow police headquarters, processed and held for arraignment.
