Cops: Unlicensed Peconic Driver Had 29 Suspensions

The driver was charged with a felony, police said.

A Peconic man driving without a license was busted after police said he was found to have 29 suspensions.

According to Southold Town police, Chester Ozarowski, 58, was arrested on Sunday at 3:20 p.m. on Route 25 in Peconic after he was found to be driving a vehicle with a suspended registration.

Upon further investigation, police said he was found to have a revoked license, with 29 suspensions on 12 different dates.

He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, a felony, and operating with a suspended registration, police said.

He was placed under arrest, transported to headquarters for processing, and later released on bail, police said.
