According to New York State police, on Tuesday, the New York State Police Barracks in Riverside conducted an underage drinker enforcement detail in Mattituck and Jamesport.
During the sting, two retail establishments were issued appearance tickets for selling an alcoholic beverage to an undercover state police agent, authorities said.
The agent, police said, bought Bud Light beer from Lenny's Pizza & Pasta in Jamesport.
The clerk was charged with one count of unlawful dealing with a child and one count of prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage.
She was issued appearance tickets to appear in Riverhead Town Court at a later date.
The agent also bought Bud Light beer from La Tienda in Mattituck.

The following retail stores were also targeted and were found to be in compliance: 7-11 in Mattituck, Murphy's Spirit Shoppe in Mattituck, J. Shields Fine Wines in Mattituck, Handy Pantry in Mattituck, BP Gas/Okan Grocery in Mattituck, and Empire Gas Mini Mart in Laurel.
