Cops: Southold Woman Slapped With DWI Charge
The driver was stopped for speeding, police said.
A Southold woman was arrested Friday after police said she was caught driving drunk in Mattituck.
According to Southold Town police, Lisa M. Braun, 48, was arrested on Route 48 and Wickham Avenue at 9:29 p.m. after she was stopped for speeding and found to be intoxicated.
Braun was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and transported to Southold police headquarters for processing, police said. Braun was held to await arraignment.
