Cops: Southold Man Nabbed For DWI in Mattituck
The defendant failed to maintain his lane, authorities said.
A Southold man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Friday, police said.
According to Southold Town police, Patrick Ryan, 59, was arrested on Sound Avenue in Mattituck at 5:55 p.m. and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor.
Police said the defendant was stopped for failing to maintain his lane of travel. He failed several roadside sobriety tests given at the scene, police added. Ryan was placed under arrest and transported to Southold police headquarters, where he was processed and held to await arraignment.
