Cops: Southold Man Charged With DWI
Police said the driver was stopped for failing to maintain his lane.
A Southold man was charged with driving while intoxicated on Route 25 on Sunday.
According to Southold Town police, Benito Choquin-Montenero, 68, was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, at 1:40 a.m. on Route 25 in Southold after he was stopped for failing to maintain his lane of travel.
Choquin-Montenero was found to be intoxicated and was arrested, police said; he was transported to police headquarters and held for arraignment.
