Cops: Mattituck Woman Slapped With DWI Charge

The woman crossed over the double yellow lines and into eastbound traffic, police said.

A Mattituck woman spent the night behind bars after police said she was arrested for driving drunk Monday.

According to Southold Town police, Paula Stonemetz, 54, was arrested at 5:39 p.m. on Route 25 in Cutchogue.

Police said Stonemetz was driving a 2013 Ford westbound and crossed over the double yellow lines and into eastbound traffic.

She was given several roadside sobriety tests and was arrested at the scene, police said. Stonemetz was then taken to police headquarters and held for arraignment.
