Cops: Man In Laurel Accident Was Driving Drunk
The man was charged and brought to the hospital, police said.
A man was arrested after he drove drunk and got into a car accident on Thursday, police said.
According to Southold Town police, John F. Stalzer, 54, of Sea Cliff, was arrested at 7:44 p.m. at Peconic Bay Boulevard and Wendy Drive in Laurel after he was in a single car accident and found to be intoxicated.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and transported to Stony Brook Medical Center via Suffolk County Police helicopter.
He was admitted to the hospital and released to appear in court at a later date, police said.
