Cops: Man Cuffed For DWI on Sound Avenue
The driver was stopped for a traffic infraction, police said.
A Peconic man spent the night behind bars after police said he was caught driving drunk on Sound Avenue early Wednesday.
Southold Town police said Jesus Perez Cano, 21, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. in Mattituck after he was stopped for a traffic violation and found to be intoxicated.
He was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, taken to police headquarters and held for arraignment, police said.
