Cops: Man Charged With DWI in Greenport

Police said defendant was parked over the curb and on the sidewalk.

A man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he was found parked over the curb and on the sidewalk with the engine running in Greenport early Monday morning, police said.

According to Southold Town police, Stanley Gochez-Lobato, 29, of East Marion, was arrested at 2:51 a.m. Monday morning on Third Street in Greenport.

Police said the defendant wasย located parked over the curb and on the sidewalk in a 2001 Honda Accord with the engine running, sitting in the driver's seat.

Upon further investigation, the defendant was found to be intoxicated, police said.

Gochez-Lobato was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemenaor.

He was transported to Southold Town police headquarters, processed and held for arraignment.
