Cops: Man Charged With Drunk Driving in Mattituck

The driver failed to maintain his lane, police said.

A Califon, New Jersey man was cuffed in Mattituck after police said he drove drunk on Thanksgiving Eve.

According to Southold Town Police, William J. Granneman, 25, was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, after he was stopped for failing to stay in his lane on Route 25 in Mattituck.

Granneman, police said, failed roadside sobriety tests and was arrested; he was taken to Southold Town Police HQ where he was processed and held overnight pending arraignment in Southold Town Justice Court.
