Cops: Unlicensed Man Caught With Vicodin In Car

The driver had an unlabeled pill bottle, police said.

A Southold man was arrested Friday after police said he was driving without a license with pain killers in his car.

According to Southold Town police, the man, 54, was arrested at 9:54 a.m. on Friday on Jacobs Lane in Southold and charged with  criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, and having an unregistered and uninspected vehicle.  

Police said the defendant was stopped and charged with having a suspended license. While searching the defendant, an officer found an unlabeled pill bottle with Vicodin inside, police said. The defendant was transported to police headquarters and processed.
