Cops: Man Caught Trespassing With Pot

The man was released on bail, police said.

A Greenport man was busted on Friday after police said he was caught where he shouldn't be with marijuana in his possession.

According to Southold Town police, a Greenport man, 33, was arrested after he was observed trespassing at 10:52 a.m. at a Broad Street location, on a fenced property belonging to another Greenport resident, 51.

The suspect was arrested and found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana, police said; he charged with criminal trespass, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

The defendant was processed and released on $100 cash bail.
