Police said they found cocaine and marijuana after a chase.

A Greenport man was charged with drug possession and leading authorities on a chase early Sunday morning, police said.

According to Southold Town police, Ralph Mims, III, 35, of Greenport was arrested on Sunday at 2:26 a.m. in the Adams Street parking lot in Greenport.

Mims was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and obstructing governmental administration, a misdemeanor.

Mims was transported to Southold police headquarters, processed, and lodged awaiting arraignment in the morning.
