Cops: Drunk Woman Spit At, Pushed Police Officer

The police officer fell off the porch after being pushed and broke his hand, cops said.

A Greenport woman was arrested on Tuesday after cops said she pushed a police officer, causing him to fall off a front porch and break his hand.

According to Southold Town police, Donna Frank, 46, was arrested and slapped with felony charges of criminal mischief, assault, resisting arrest and harassment on Tuesday at 10:45 pm.

Police said a call was received from a home on Calebs Way; upon arrival, officers found Frank, who was intoxicated.

Upon trying to interview Frank, police said she pushed a police officer, causing him to fall off front porch into a bush and onto the ground; the police officer sustained a broken hand.

Officers attempted to control Frank, at which time she spat upon another officer, police said.

Frank was subdued and placed in the rear of the police vehicle, police said. Both officers, along with Frank, were treated at Eastern Long Island Hospital.
