Cops: 2 DWI Arrests Reported Over Weekend

Both drivers were stopped for traffic violations, police said.

Two drivers were busted for driving drunk on the North Fork over the weekend, police said.

According to Southold Town police, Mattituck resident David M. Ettinger, 42, was arrested on Sunday at 12:59 a.m. on Route 25 in Laurel and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said he was stopped for failing to maintain his lane and found to be intoxicated. He was taken to Southold Town police headquarters, where he was processed and held for arraignment.

Next, at 3:49 a.m. on Sunday, Connor J. Fenimore, 21, was arrested on Third Street in Greenport and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, police said; he was stopped for a traffic violation and found to be intoxicated, authorities added. Fenimore was taken to police headquarters, where he was also processed and held overnight for arraignment.
