Police: Aquebogue Woman Hospitalized After Hitting Tree in Laurel

Woman claims tiredness caused her to hit a tree and topple her SUV Monday evening.

Heiddy Alvarado, 23, of Aquebogue was taken to the hospital after she lost control of her 2005 Chevy SUV on Monday at 5:19 p.m. while heading east on Route 25 in Laurel and struck a tree, which caused the vehicle to come to rest on its side, police said.
